Radon; the Good, the Bad and the Ugly
Course Outline
Course Description:
This one and one half hour presentation will cover what radon gas is, where it comes from, how it enters homes and its health affects on humans. We will then examine what is required to test for radon and what advantages a home inspector has if they become licensed/certified to do so. We will talk about mitigation practices and what a home inspector is allowed, or not allowed to report on when it comes to a radon system.
Goal:
Participation in this class will give the home inspector a greater understanding of radon gas and mitigation practices. They will also be informed on system inspections and most likely will be amazed to learn that they may very well have been violating radon standards during their reporting processes.
